When strangers met by accident!
After colliding with another car I lost control
of the wheel. My wife and I were
slightly hurt.
A passing motorist came to our aid and
took us to a hospital. He turned out to be
an insurance agent from Illinois. Like Ruth
and me, he was in Florida on a vacation.
When we told him we were insured with
the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company
lie said not to worry. Although he
wasn't a Hartford agent, he assured us it
was a fine company and that we'd be treated
right. His words made us feel a lot better.
After getting us to the hospital, he went
to the office of the local Hartford Agent,
and told him what had happened and where
to find us.
The Hartford man got in touch with me
right away, and made out the accident
report. He also straightened things out with
the police, and got estimates of the damage
to my car. What a load it took off my shoulders
to have this capable, experienced help in
our emergency!
Our car wasn't worth fixing, so with the
Hartford man's help, I made a trade-in on a
new car. Then he advised me on how to
insure it and I wired my Hartford Agent
back home to write the policies.
The local man expected nothing himself.
He explained that Hartford Agents everywhere

"hometown service" to each other's policyholders.

We mat and frame original, vintage magazine ads...they are in good condition, but may not be perfect as they are many decades old. Frame outside dimensions are 15" x 12", and matted ad is approximately 9-5/8" x 6-5/8" (could be slightly different, depending on ad).
