Good thing we can turn back the clock!
Before the fire, our house had always been
pointed out as a show place. Being a
building contractor, I was happy about
that, of course.
Naturally, I knew what the house was
worth. It was no problem to pass that figure
along to the Hartford man so he could get
me the right amount of insurance.
Inside the house, it wasn't so easy. Some
of our furniture was new and the price of
it still fresh in our minds. Some pieces -
like this clock that everybody admired -
had been in Sue's family for years. The two
of us sat down with the Hartford Inventory
Booklet our agent had given us and figured
out what our belongings were worth. I have
reason now to be mighty glad that he was
so thorough. The Inventory Booklet provided
a perfect record of what was lost.
All told, the Hartford Fire Insurance
Company paid us $37,600 for the damage
to our house and its contents. Thanks to
our Hartford Fire Agent, we can make the
needed repairs and refurnish our home to
make it as attractive and livable as it was
before the fire!

We mat and frame original, vintage magazine ads...they are in good condition, but may not be perfect as they are many decades old. Frame outside dimensions are 15" x 12", and matted ad is approximately 9-5/8" x 6-5/8" (could be slightly different, depending on ad).
Frames and vintage ads are actual as shown, and mat is computer generated for online viewing. Actual mat is custom cut for each individual ad and mat color will be similar to the colors shown on the website. “Travel Route 3 Scan” watermark is placed on the ad for online viewing only, and is not part of the final product.
