This is a 2-page advertisement, and the actual framed and matted dimensions could be slightly different that the listing photo. Many times the colors between the 2 pages are slightly different, and sometimes the sizes and angles of the 2 pages are slightly different as well. Sometimes the magazine staple holes will show slightly in the center, and the vertical joint will be slightly visible in the middle. Which one is the night game?
The only way to know for sure is to be there in person.
Because both these pictures were taken at Cincinnati's
new Riverfront Stadium, where the field is lit by 1648 thousand-
watt Metalarc lamps from our GTE Sylvania company.
And the light is so even and natural that color TV cameras
can operate at night as though they were under a sunny sky.
It's so uniform there are almost no shadows or hot spots
on the field.
At this point, you could say, “Well, that's fine for the
Cincinnati Reds, but what does Metalarc lighting do for me?"
Well, consider what it did for the people of Wichita,
Kansas, and the kids of Hammonton, New Jersey.
When Metalarc lamps replaced the old lamps in downtown
Wichita, they not only lowered the accident rate, but
saved the local taxpayers some money.
(Most Sylvania Metalarc lighting costs about a fifth as
much to operate as equivalent incandescent illumination.
And Metalarc lamps last about 7 1/2 times as long.)
The people of Hammonton, New Jersey chose Metalarc
lamps to replace the incandescents in their kids' Little League
stadium. And they don't even televise. They just want everyone
involved to have a better look at what's going on.
Now, back to our question. The night game is the one on
the right. (Don't take a closer look. It won't help.)
The Metalarc lamp was developed at our lighting research
center in Massachusetts. It's just one of literally thousands
of types of lighting with the GTE Sylvania name on them.

We mat and frame original, vintage magazine ads...they are in good condition, but may not be perfect as they are many decades old. Frame outside dimensions are 15" x 12", and matted ad is approximately 9-5/8" x 6-5/8" (could be slightly different, depending on ad).
Frames and vintage ads are actual as shown, and mat is computer generated for online viewing.
